Customers Impacted by Rivers Casino Philadelphia Data Breach: Law Firm Steps In
The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Rivers Casino Philadelphia with respect to their recent data breach. Rivers Casino Philadelphia recently responded to an investigation of an incident involving unauthorized access to certain Rivers Casino Philadelphia computer systems.

Upon identifying the incident, Rivers Casino Philadelphia immediately secured the involved systems and launched an investigation. Through the investigation, Rivers Casino Philadelphia determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and/or took certain files stored on its computer servers. The following personal information was accessed: individuals name, Social Security number and bank account information.
Players from the Pittsburgh area are now reporting receipt of letters from Rivers Casino warning of the breach. Some told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 they've never even stepped foot in the casino.
"Rivers Casino Philadelphia recently responded to and investigated an incident involving unauthorized access to certain Rivers Casino Philadelphia computer systems. Upon identifying the incident, Rivers Casino Philadelphia immediately secured the involved systems and launched an investigation. Through the investigation, Rivers Casino Philadelphia determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and/or took certain files stored on our computer servers. Rivers Casino Philadelphia is mailing letters to individuals whose information may have been involved in the incident."
Pittsburgh's Action News 4 asked Rivers Casino why customers in Pittsburgh who have not been to the Philadelphia location had their information potentially compromised.
"While the incident occurred on Rivers Casino Philadelphia's systems, the files involved in the incident included certain files held by Rivers Casino Philadelphia, which included patron information from the Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Pittsburgh locations," Rivers Casino said in a statement.
Rivers did not comment on how many customers were impacted.
Rivers first warned of a data breach back in January that apparently occurred in November of this past year.
